The 1st Meeting of the APT Conference Preparatory Group for WRC-27 (APG27-1)

The 1st Meeting of the APT Conference Preparatory Group for WRC-27 (APG27-1) will be held from 3-6 June 2024 in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China. The meeting will be and hosted by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), People’s Republic of China.

The objective of the APG27-1 is to initiate the preparatory process of the APT for the World Radiocommunication Conference 2027 (WRC-27) and Radiocommunication Assembly 2027 (RA-27) through the establishment of the APT Conference Preparatory Group for WRC-27 (APG-27). APG27-1 will be held with physical attendance as well as virtual/online participation through Zoom meeting platform (i.e., hybrid meeting). APG27-1 is expected to conduct the following activities:

Election of the Chair and two Vice-Chairs of APG-27
Establishment of the meeting structure for APG-27
Appointment of the other office bearers of APG-27 based on the structure
Review the Working Methods of APG
Development of the workplan for the preparation of RA-27/WRC-27
Appointment of the Chairs for the Drafting Groups on WRC-27 Agenda Items to the extent possible, and
Preliminary discussion on WRC-27 Agenda Items.

Venue:
APG27-1 will be held in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China. Information on exact venue will be informed at later stage.

Participation:
All APT Members, Associate Members, Affiliate Members, International/Regional Organizations, and Eligible Non-Members can participate in the meeting by registering online through the APT Website.Administrations of Members and Associate Members and International/Regional Organizations are kindly requested to send the official list of delegations for the meeting and to nominate Head of Delegation (HoD) and Alternate HoD. If any APT Affiliate Member is included in the National Delegation, please clearly mention in the List of Delegation.

Participation of Non-Members: Non-Members cannot attend the meeting. Non-Member participants under national delegation are allowed once their names are included in the official list of delegation. Non-member participation from the host country, People's Republic of China, are allowed as ‘Observers’ once they are approved by the MIIT.

Submission of Contributions:
Contributions for the meeting from APT Members, Associate Members, Affiliate Members, regional and International Organizations are welcome. You are requested to use the proper document template for your contribution. Template for the submission of contributions is available below. Contributions will be posted on APT Website prior to the starting of the meeting. Last date of submission of contributions is 27 May 2024.
